Product Description

Ceratostigma plumbaginoides 'PLUMBAGO'
a/k/a Dwarf Plumbago, Leadwort, Chinese Leadwort, Blue Ceratostigma.
Zone: 5 to 9, may not be reliably winter hardy throughout Zone 5.
Full sun to part shade.
Mature size: 9 to 12 inch height,
semi-evergreen, wiry, mat-forming perennial ground cover. Oval to ovate, shiny, medium green leaves turn bronze-red in autumn. Clusters of blue flowers appear late summer to frost. Moderate to fast growth rate. Spreads by rhizomes and can be somewhat invasive in optimum growing conditions.

Grow in average, medium to wet, well-drained soil; somewhat soil tolerance except for wet, poorly-drained soils. Excellent groundcover in sunny to partly shaded areas and in rock gardens. Use as an under planting for bulbs and lilies. Deer resistant.
