Full sun to part shade.
Plants reach 6 to 8 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide,
clump-forming herbaceous perennial.
Growth rate: Moderate.
Leaves are velvety soft, silver, and shaped like its namesake. 'Silver Carpet' tends to spread much more quickly than other varieties, making it a good groundcover for dry, sunny spots. Creeping stems root as along the ground and can be mildly aggressive in rich soils. Leaves are evergreen in warm climates but will depreciate considerably in harsh winters. Listed as a non-flowering cultivar, on occasions a few small flower stalks will emerge.
