Tanacetum (tan-uh-seet-um) Tansy, Asteraceae Family. A perennial found growing wild by the roads and in fields. Adaptable to poor or average conditions, Tanacetum prefer rich, moist, and acidic to neutral, well-drained soil. Removing faded flowers will prolong the bloom time. Trim foliage back after first bloom season to help rejuvenate the plant. 'Robinson's Red' can be divided in the spring or in the fall every 2 years to maintain vigor.
