"America's favorite daylily"
That's what 'Stella d'Oro' daylily is known as, and for good reason. One of the first-ever reblooming dayliles (and one of the first dwarf varieties), Stella has become a garden classic in just a few decades on the market.
Whether you are looking to add to an existing planting of 'Stella d'Oro' dayliles or have been looking for something colorful and low maintenance, it's the perfect time to join the Stella fan club.
Planting a line of 'Stella d'Oro' daylily on either side of a walkway creates a welcoming pathway that blooms all summer with no care. Plant as a companion to spring bulbs like daffodils so that the emerging foliage of the daylily covers the withering foliage of the bulbs.
Any spot that gets at least 6 hours of good sunlight is suitable for growing 'Stella d'Oro'. Because it goes completely dormant in winter, it's a great choice for planting along walkways and driveways where you need to remove snow in winter - no worries about damaging it.
