Nepeta, a.k.a. catmint, has been a garden staple for many years and for many reasons.
With clusters of beautiful blue/purple flowers, it’s a favorite stop for pollinators. Plants are generally healthy, well-behaved and low-maintenance. Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and bugs avoid them. Finally, it’s deer- and rabbit-resistant. Not that Bambi and Thumper would never nibble, but catmints are far down on their list of preferred menu options.
