False Indigo is making a comeback in gardens, thanks to new varieties like the Decadence® series. It’s easy to see why—once established, these plants are drought tolerant and will probably live longer than you will. These new hybrids stay under 3 feet tall with intense colored flowers, blooming around the same time as peonies. Since Baptisia is native to prairies they are tough, easy to grow plants. Hardy to zone 4 and best in a sunny spot.
