What a way to start the day! You wander out to admire your garden and find your plants lying high and dry, beside their holes. Dug up in the middle of the night and left to die. Who would do a dastardly deed like this?

This spicy concoction will make any critter hightail it away from the garden.

• 4 tbsp. of dry mustard
• 3 tbsp. of cayenne pepper
• 2 tbsp. of chili pepper
• 2 tbsp. of cloves
• 1 tbsp. of Tabasco sauce
• 2 quarts of warm water

Mix all of the ingredients together, and sprinkle the solution around the perimeter of your garden.
